Tim and Ang

Sutton Oak Farm was founded by Tim Ansems in 2001. Tim Ansems and Angela Johnston were married in 2003. We now have three children, (Ruth) Caelin Ansems (2004), (Jacob) Russell Ansems (2006), and Tobi Christine Ansems (2008).

Tim has been a Turkey Producer since 1999 and is also a Chicken Producer. Tim currently sits as Chairman for Chicken Farmers of Nova Scotia. He has sat with Kings County Federation of Agriculture.

Tim would also like to point out to Angela that he does a lot of other interesting things as well.

Before moving to the farm, Angela spent one year teaching in the remote community of Brochet, northwest of Thompson, MB. In 2002 Angela founded the charitable organization,Brochet Exchange. Since the summer of 2003 we have hosted the Brochet Exchange Summer Program and we have enjoyed sharing our local community and culture with the grade 8 participants from this Aboriginal community/Reserve.

In 2005 Angela went online with Valley Cloth Diaper Company and continues to spread awareness and provide products and support for cloth diapering families in Nova Scotia, across Canada, and around the world.
